LIMITED-EDITION FOCUS RS

The assertive styling of the front grille and rear diffuser and unique functional rear spoiler are not only eye catching, but the aerodynamic designs also work together to create zerolift overall for optimum high-speed handling. It's something you'll appreciate on the track, thanks to Focus RS having best-in-class horsepower and torque. Open the door to RS and take your seat behind the flat-bottom steering wheel with a soft-feel leather-covered rim, RECARO^® sport seats, alloy pedals and unique instrument graphics.

FOCUS SEL

SEL features a 2.0L Ti-VCT engine, LED signature lighting, fog lamps, single-CD player, Audio System from Sony^® with HD Radio^™ Technology and 10 speakers, and power moonroof. There's also SYNC^® 3 with an eight-inch screen, dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control and the Reverse Sensing System.

EASY FUEL^® CAPLESS FUEL FILLER

With the standard Easy Fuel capless fuel filler, fill-ups can be quick and easy, and eliminate the possibility of driving away from the pump with a missing or improperly installed gas cap. When fueling is complete and the nozzle is removed, the filler automatically seals shut.

REAR SPOILER

The rear spoiler adds an aerodynamic look to the Focus. Standard on all hatchback models. The ST and RS have their own unique spoilers.

Available carbon-fiber accents in the ST3 Package are found on the gear shift knob, door grab handles, emergency brake handle and boost gauge trim.

And speaking of curves, standard Torque Vectoring Control and electric power-assisted steering let you get the most out of them. There's another side to Focus. Plug into the zero-CO2 emissions Focus Electric and you'll never have to fill up your car with gas since it runs on 100 percent electricity.

New 2018 Ford Focus PERFORMANCE OVERVIEW

DRIVING DYNAMICS

Focus has standard Torque Vectoring Control, which is designed to help the front wheels grip and steer better while cornering or driving in slippery conditions. Other driving dynamics features include electric power-assisted steering (EPAS), Active Grille Shutters, a six-speed SelectShift^® automatic transmission or available PowerShift automatic transmission.

ELECTRIC POWER-ASSISTED STEERING (EPAS)

EPAS automatically adjusts to deliver precise responses at high speed and optimal maneuverability at lower speeds. Pull-drift compensation continually measures driver steering input, adapts to changing road conditions and helps adjust for slight directional shifts, like uneven road surfaces or crosswinds. All of this comes together to deliver smooth responsiveness and excellent control. The ST model is additionally enhanced with variable EPAS, providing the performance customer with even more precise steering, aggressive torque steer tuning and the ability to accelerate while maintaining grip - even on uneven road surfaces.

LIMITED-EDITION FOCUS RS

Focus RS is the fastest, most powerful Focus we make. Its 2.3L EcoBoost^® engine delivers best-in-class 350 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. of torque. It can go from 0 to 62 in 4.7 seconds and has a top track speed of 165 mph. For optimal control, it also features Ford Performance All-Wheel Drive with Dynamic Torque Vectoring. Additionally, by controlling the torque delivered to each front wheel, the 2018 Focus RS Quaife^® limited-slip differential enables drivers to fully exploit the 350-horsepower 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine's power. The system limits the engine torque delivered to a particular front wheel that has reduced traction on the road surface, and redistributes torque to the wheel with more traction to counteract the wheelspin that can hamper acceleration and stability.

FOCUS ST POWER AND PERFORMANCE

The sporty Focus ST is designed to deliver sporty fun. It's powered by a 2.0L EcoBoost^® engine that delivers 252 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft. of torque. It has electric power-assisted steering that delivers increased responsiveness in the corners while providing less sensitivity on the straightaways, plus Torque Vectoring Control to help the front wheels grip and steer better in the turns. At publicly available DC Fast Charge stations, a 30-minute charge can provide a projected range of over 75 miles based on EPA test protocols. With an available Ford-recommended AeroVironment^™ 240-volt/30-amp home charging station, you can fully recharge in as little as 5.5 hours.

FOUR-WHEEL DISC ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM

AdvanceTrac^® with electronic stability control (ESC) and ABS helps you maintain steering control in hard-braking situations. ABS electronically "pumps" the brakes several times per second when the computer-controlled sensors indicate wheel lockup during hard braking.

TORQUE VECTORING CONTROL

Torque Vectoring Control uses the braking system to balance the distribution of torque to the front wheels. In particular, when accelerating through corners, it applies braking to the front inside wheel, so more of the engine torque goes to the outside wheel, which has more grip.

STANDARD REAR VIEW CAMERA

Put the gear selector in Reverse and the rear view camera automatically transmits the image of what's behind your vehicle to your screen when you're slowly backing up. The rear view camera is standard on all models.

TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS)

When the tire pressure goes below the recommended tire inflation level, excluding the spare tire, a warning lamp is displayed along with a corresponding notification in the message center.

DUAL-STAGE FRONT AIRBAGS

Focus comes with seven standard airbags, including a driver knee airbag. Safety Canopy System (first- and second-row side-curtain airbags) is standard on the Focus.
