Choosing the Focus you want is no easy task. All models are sleek, sporty and designed to attract attention. From the performance-themed Focus ST and race-inspired, limited-edition Focus RS to the sleek SEL and smart looks of the Focus Electric, making up your mind is going to be tough. And choosing a color from our extensive palette and wheels to complement your Focus could be even tougher.
The assertive styling of the front grille and rear diffuser and unique functional rear spoiler are not only eye catching, but the aerodynamic designs also work together to create zerolift overall for optimum high-speed handling. It's something you'll appreciate on the track, thanks to Focus RS having best-in-class horsepower and torque. Open the door to RS and take your seat behind the flat-bottom steering wheel with a soft-feel leather-covered rim, RECARO® sport seats, alloy pedals and unique instrument graphics.
SEL features a 2.0L Ti-VCT engine, LED signature lighting, fog lamps, single-CD player, Audio System from Sony® with HD Radio™ Technology and 10 speakers, and power moonroof. There's also SYNC® 3 with an eight-inch screen, dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control and the Reverse Sensing System.
Even the lights on your Focus offer dramatic styling. Up front, dragon-eye quad-beam halogen headlamps give the car a steely-eyed squint. Available LED signature lighting adds to the dramatic look.
With the standard Easy Fuel capless fuel filler, fill-ups can be quick and easy, and eliminate the possibility of driving away from the pump with a missing or improperly installed gas cap. When fueling is complete and the nozzle is removed, the filler automatically seals shut.
The rear spoiler adds an aerodynamic look to the Focus. Standard on all hatchback models. The ST and RS have their own unique spoilers.
The attention to detail in Focus is apparent in a variety of features. You simply have to look at the alloy trim and the French seams of the available leather-trimmed seating with eight-way power driver's seat. And that's just for starters.
Personalize your comfort level, and your front-seat passenger's, with individualized temperature settings, courtesy of the available dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control.
Enjoy the sun, the moon or just some fresh air. One push of a button is all it takes to open the available power moonroof. Leave it in the vent position to let in a breeze, or open it wide to let in the fresh air and light.
Available carbon-fiber accents in the ST3 Package are found on the gear shift knob, door grab handles, emergency brake handle and boost gauge trim.
The Focus interior is as attractive as it is comfortable. Fine quality is evident in details such as available alloy trim and the French seams of the available leather-trimmed seating. Cloth bucket seats with two-way head restraints are standard. For more premium accommodations, Focus Titanium has a leather-trimmed eight-way power driver's seat with four-way head restraints as well as heated front seats and a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel.
To help you optimize the performance of Focus Electric, standard SmartGauge with EcoGuide has customizable LCD displays providing real-time driving metrics. These displays help you develop driving habits that can maximize vehicle efficiency. Content such as the Energy History, Brake Coach and Butterfly screens work together to help you monitor and improve your driving performance and electric range over time.
The smart-charging USB port knows how much power to supply to a device you have plugged in. That can help save battery power to your vehicle. In the S, SE and ST models, there is one standard port located in the center cluster. Standard in the SEL, Titanium and limited-edition Focus RS models, and optional in the Focus ST, there are two ports, the second being located in the center console.
If there's one word that sums up the Focus driving experience, it would be fun. For starters, you have four powertrains to choose from. For performance enthusiasts, the ST and limited-edition RS engines deliver abundant horsepower to make quick work of curves and straightaways. And speaking of curves, standard Torque Vectoring Control and electric power-assisted steering let you get the most out of them. There's another side to Focus. Plug into the zero-CO2 emissions Focus Electric and you'll never have to fill up your car with gas since it runs on 100 percent electricity.
Focus has standard Torque Vectoring Control, which is designed to help the front wheels grip and steer better while cornering or driving in slippery conditions. Other driving dynamics features include electric power-assisted steering (EPAS), Active Grille Shutters, a six-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission or available PowerShift automatic transmission.
EPAS automatically adjusts to deliver precise responses at high speed and optimal maneuverability at lower speeds. Pull-drift compensation continually measures driver steering input, adapts to changing road conditions and helps adjust for slight directional shifts, like uneven road surfaces or crosswinds. All of this comes together to deliver smooth responsiveness and excellent control. The ST model is additionally enhanced with variable EPAS, providing the performance customer with even more precise steering, aggressive torque steer tuning and the ability to accelerate while maintaining grip - even on uneven road surfaces.
Focus RS is the fastest, most powerful Focus we make. Its 2.3L EcoBoost® engine delivers best-in-class 350 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. of torque. It can go from 0 to 62 in 4.7 seconds and has a top track speed of 165 mph. For optimal control, it also features Ford Performance All-Wheel Drive with Dynamic Torque Vectoring. Additionally, by controlling the torque delivered to each front wheel, the 2018 Focus RS Quaife® limited-slip differential enables drivers to fully exploit the 350-horsepower 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine's power. The system limits the engine torque delivered to a particular front wheel that has reduced traction on the road surface, and redistributes torque to the wheel with more traction to counteract the wheelspin that can hamper acceleration and stability.
1.0L EcoBoost® - standard on SE Sedan with Auto Start Stop Technology and EPA-estimated 40 hwy mpg with 6-speed manual; 6-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift®. 2.0L Ti-VCT - standard on S, SE Hatchback, SEL, and Titanium, 159 horsepower and EPA-estimated 34 hwy; 5-speed manual standard on S; 6-speed PowerShift automatic available on SE and SE, and 6-speed PowerShift automatic with SelectShift on SEL and Titanium. 2.0L EcoBoost - ST powertrain delivering 252 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft. of torque; 6-speed manual transmission. 2.3L EcoBoost - limited-edition RS powertrain with high-performance 350 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. of torque; 6-speed manual transmission.
The sporty Focus ST is designed to deliver sporty fun. It's powered by a 2.0L EcoBoost® engine that delivers 252 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft. of torque. It has electric power-assisted steering that delivers increased responsiveness in the corners while providing less sensitivity on the straightaways, plus Torque Vectoring Control to help the front wheels grip and steer better in the turns. And, of course, powerful front and rear disc brakes are standard.
Ford Focus Electric needs no gas, requires zero oil changes and produces zero C02 emissions. It has an EPA-estimated driving range of 115 miles and a 107 combined MPGe. With a top speed of 84 mph, Focus Electric offers instant torque and smooth acceleration that will grab your attention. At publicly available DC Fast Charge stations, a 30-minute charge can provide a projected range of over 75 miles based on EPA test protocols. With an available Ford-recommended AeroVironment™ 240-volt/30-amp home charging station, you can fully recharge in as little as 5.5 hours.
AdvanceTrac® ESC (Electronic Stability Control) with Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS). AdvanceTrac ESC constantly monitors road conditions and driver responses, adjusting engine power and applying ABS to help keep all your wheels firmly planted. ESC brings an added measure of handling confidence to the agility you expect in a Ford Focus.
Focus offers smart technology features, including an available Navigation System, available SiriusXM,® a standard rear view camera and available BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert, and Lane-Keeping System. If parallel parking makes you nervous, Focus Titanium offers available active park assist. Available SYNC® 3 with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ compatibility keeps you connected, while the MyFord® Mobile app with a three-year subscription lets you monitor the charge of your all-electric, zero-CO2 emissions Focus Electric remotely. And with available Intelligent Access with push-button start, getting in and starting your vehicle is a breeze.
Focus offers driver-assist features that make your drive more convenient. For example, thanks to a camera and sensors mounted at specific locations on the vehicle, you can be aware of other vehicles and objects that are beside and behind your vehicle. Other available features include the Reverse Sensing System, BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert, Lane-Keeping System, active park assist and SYNC® 3.
SYNC® 3 brings the power of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to your Ford. Use Siri® to interact with your iPhone® or Google™ to interact with your Android while keeping your eyes on the road and hands on the wheel. Apple CarPlay gives you access to Apple Music, Maps, make phone calls, send messages and more. With Android Auto, you can interact with your Google Maps™ to receive voice-guided navigation, live traffic information and estimated travel time. You can also connect to Google Now and Google Music.
AdvanceTrac® with electronic stability control (ESC) and ABS helps you maintain steering control in hard-braking situations. ABS electronically "pumps" the brakes several times per second when the computer-controlled sensors indicate wheel lockup during hard braking.
Torque Vectoring Control uses the braking system to balance the distribution of torque to the front wheels. In particular, when accelerating through corners, it applies braking to the front inside wheel, so more of the engine torque goes to the outside wheel, which has more grip.
Put the gear selector in Reverse and the rear view camera automatically transmits the image of what's behind your vehicle to your screen when you're slowly backing up. The rear view camera is standard on all models.
When the tire pressure goes below the recommended tire inflation level, excluding the spare tire, a warning lamp is displayed along with a corresponding notification in the message center.
Focus comes with seven standard airbags, including a driver knee airbag. Safety Canopy System (first- and second-row side-curtain airbags) is standard on the Focus.
