AVAILABLE TRAILER SWAY AND HILL DESCENT CONTROL

Trailer Sway Control helps keep both you and your trailer heading in the same direction, automatically. It detects a swaying trailer and applies both Canyon's and the trailer's brakes (if properly equipped) to help bring it back in line. Hill Descent Control is activated with the push of a button. It uses antilock braking for a smooth and controlled hill descent in rough terrain without you having to touch the brake pedal.

TEEN DRIVER

Teen Driver is a built-in system that helps encourage safe driving habits for new drivers. It automatically activates certain available safety systems and allows parents to set limits on other features. An in-vehicle report card provides information on driving behavior to help parents to continue to coach their teens.

REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT

If a vehicle is approaching from the left or right when you're backing up, available Rear Cross Traffic Alert can signal you to a possible crash. When in reverse, sensors look for left or right cross traffic behind you. When detected, a red flashing triangle displays on the rear vision camera screen and points toward the approaching vehicle, along with audible beeps.

LANE KEEP ASSIST WITH LANE DEPARTURE WARNING

Avoid drifting out of your lane unintentionally. This is done using a camera that detects right and left lane markings. With available Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, if you drive over a detected lane marking without intentionally steering or using your turn signal, your vehicle will provide gentle steering wheel turns and lane departure warning alerts if necessary.

ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL

Available Adaptive Cruise Control enhances regular Cruise Control to allow the vehicle to automatically follow a detected vehicle ahead at the driver-selected following gap while the driver steers, reducing the need for the driver to frequently brake and accelerate.

FORWARD COLLISION ALERT

Uses forward-facing cameras and/or radar to detect the distance from the vehicle in front of you. Available Forward Collision Alert provides audible and visual signals if it appears a collision may be imminent.
