When you exit, the vehicle automatically locks within several seconds of the last door being closed.

TRACTION SELECT SYSTEM

Allows you to switch between drive modes to make real-time adjustments based on ever-changing driving situations. Front Wheel Drive (FWD) models feature a Normal mode, available Tow/Haul mode and Snow mode, which lessens chance of wheel slippage in low traction driving conditions.

SAFETY OVERVIEW

The all-new Terrain SUV offers an available suite of intuitive driver-assist and safety technologies - so you can move with confidence in any direction. Terrain Denali comes with a suite of intuitive driver-assist and safety technologies to help you avoid collisions, and help increase your awareness of nearby traffic or obstacles.

FORWARD COLLISION ALERT

Uses forward-facing cameras and/or radar to detect the distance from the vehicle in front of you. Available Forward Collision Alert provides audible and visual signals if it appears a collision may be imminent. The system also warns you if you're following a detected vehicle much too closely through a visual display in the Driver Information Center (DIC).

SAFETY ALERT SEAT

With pulsing driver seat vibrations to communicate the direction of a possible crash threat, the available Safety Alert Seat works with the other available safety and driver assistance features using ultrasonic camera and/or radar sensors equipped on the vehicle to detect a possible collision situation. The Safety Alert Seat pulses on the left, right or both sides of the seat to alert you in the direction of the possible danger.

FRONT AND REAR PARK ASSIST

With available Front and Rear Park Assist, when an object is detected, your front or rear speakers emit repeated beeping sounds that get shorter the closer you get to the object - helping you safely avoid it. Rear detection beeps are low-pitched and front detection beeps are high-pitched. If your vehicle is equipped with the available Safety Alert Seat, you will receive seat cushion vibrations instead.

LANE KEEP ASSIST WITH LANE DEPARTURE WARNING

Avoid drifting out of your lane unintentionally. This is done using a camera that detects right and left lane markings. With available Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, if you drive over a detected lane marking without intentionally steering or using your turn signal, your vehicle will provide gentle steering wheel turns and lane departure warning alerts if necessary.

ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL

Available Adaptive Cruise Control enhances regular Cruise Control to allow the vehicle to automatically follow a detected vehicle ahead at the driver-selected following gap while the driver steers, reducing the need for the driver to frequently brake and accelerate.

REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT

If a vehicle is approaching from the left or right when you're backing up, available Rear Cross Traffic Alert can signal you to a possible crash. When in reverse, sensors look for left or right cross traffic behind you. When detected, a red flashing triangle displays on the rear vision camera screen and points toward the approaching vehicle, along with audible beeps.

FRONT PEDESTRIAN BRAKING

The available Front Pedestrian Braking system can help detect pedestrians in front of you. When a pedestrian is detected and the system detects that a collision is imminent, it alerts the driver and if necessary, automatically applies the brakes to help reduce the collision's severity.
